Rafting is an accessible but thrilling group activity and with many white water centres across the country, it’s available all year round. A soaking is guaranteed.

Rafting is considered an extreme water based sport in which a team of people paddle an inflatable raft down a river, using teamwork and paddle skills to navigate safely across often fast flowing white water, waterfalls and other river obstacles. Rivers are graded from one to six with grade one representing mostly calm water with some small rough areas that may require some basic manoeuvring and grade six representing waters so dangerously wild and hazardous that passing over them safely is near impossible. Waters commonly rafted in the UK tend to be grade two to four, sometimes five.
