7Stanes Glentrool

The Glentrool centre is one of the '7 Stanes' mountain biking centres in Scotland ('Stane' is a Scottish word for 'Stone'). Each of these centres has large stone sculpture to be found along its trails.

The Glentrool centre is located in the forest of Galloway in Scotland, beginning at the Glentrool visitor centre.

It is the perfect place for families to get out on the trails and for those who are new to mountain biking. There are two green graded trails to choose from covering 20km in total, as well as a blue track which is 9km long. There is also an uncoded route spanning 58km of minor public roads and forest roads.

Parking is available at the visitor centre where you will also find toilets. Bike hire and repair is available from nearby cycles shops such as Kirkcowan Cycles and The Breakpad Bike and Outdoor Shop.
