7Stanes Innerleithen

The Innerleithan centre is one of the '7 Stanes' mountain biking centres in Scotland ('Stane' is a Scottish word for 'Stone'). Each of these centres has large stone sculpture to be found along its trails.

The Innerleithen centre is twinned with the 7Stanes Glentress centre, an award winning facility with some of the best loved trails in the UK.

The trails found here are more suited to the experienced rider as they include a red graded route covering 19km of mainly singletrack with several black graded features. There is also the extreme orange rated 3.81km singletrack which is a downhill trail only for the most daring mountain bikers.

Here you can benefit from the Glentress Café and plenty of parking near the trail head, as well as toilets, showers and changing at Glentress Peel. Bike Hire is available from Alpine Bikes though advanced booking is recommended. You can also hire bikes from nearby Peebles and in Innerleithen itself.
