Aberavon Beach is a 3 mile long stretch of sand located on the north-eastern edge of Swansea Bay in Sandfields, Port Talbot, Wales.
This is a fairly exposed beach, reef and pier break that has reliable surfing most of the time though not in the summer as with most UK spots. Offshore winds blow from the southeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. It can get crowded here and the water quality is poorer than many beaches in the area.
Facilities include parking, toilets and restaurants. There is also a surf school on the beach which provides surf hire.
