Caves (Sandsend)

Caves (Sandsend) is a sand and shingle beach near Whitby in Yorkshire.

This is a fairly exposed point break which gets both windswells and groundswells, ideally from the north. Winter and spring are the best times of year for surfing here, as is common with UK surfing. Hazards include rocks and potential crowding when conditions are good.

Facilities include parking, toilets and refreshments.
