Researcher and Writer (project)
We often have requirements to bring in researchers on a project-by-project basis. At present, these positions are filled, but please apply if you’d like to be considered for this work in the future.
At Thryve, our aim is to make adventure accessible to all. We’ve collected thousands of beginner-friendly adventures from across the United Kingdom, but this is just the beginning. We’re always adding new categories to the site, and if you’re a good writer who’s into the outdoors we’d love your help.
We have a number of categories waiting to be added to the site (including stand-up paddleboarding (SUPing), horse riding, bushcraft and foraging). As a Researcher at Thryve, your role will be to research these categories – gathering information and producing content that will help our users to discover and plan their own adventures.
You don’t need to be an experienced adventurer, but some knowledge of the topic(s) in question will definitely help. You’ll need to be detail-orientated and thorough. Our site is built on a WordPress CMS so any experience with that useful, but easy to pick up otherwise. Most of the research will be web-based, but you may need to call and/or email some of the providers for more information too.
We’re not great believers in the 9 to 5. As part of our research team you’ll be able to work flexibly – we welcome remote working if preferred and you keep the hours that you want to keep (up to 24 hours/week). If you’d rather work from our London office we’ll even treat you to a bite to eat at lunch.
